Brisbane is the dog who is everybody's friend. He has yet to meet a dog, cat, or person he doesn't like. Briz has a very strong herding instinct and passed his herding instinct test the first time he was put in a pen with sheep. Living with a pack of flat-coated retrievers, he gets to keep honing his herding skills trying to keep the other dogs together. When we take the dogs out for runs in the forest a few will decide to explore the bush. We can always count on Brisbane to bring them back with a simple, "Go get 'em, Briz".

Brisbane is an extremely trainable dog and willing worker. He earned his first obedience title with ease and is now training to compete in flyball. Initially, he refused to pick up the tennis ball. We could see him thinking, "I live with retrievers! That's their job!" However, he quickly caught on to the game. Briz is watchful over our son and is constantly alert to whatever is going on around us.
