We are a small kennel located in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. We strive to breed correct flat-coat retrievers in regard to type, temperament, working ability and overall character, and we only breed when there is a pup we want to keep from the mating. We do not breed Australian Shepherds. Our dogs are first and foremost our family pets but each is trained for one or more activities. At a minimum, the dogs compete in CKC all breed and specialty dog shows and are obedience trained. We also like to do rally obedience, flyball, tracking, retriever work, and herding. We are members of the Canadian Kennel Club, Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada, Prairie Australian Shepherd Enthusiasts, Hub City Kennel and Obedience Club, and Diamonds in the Ruff flyball team.
Since 2004, our dogs have been fed a species appropriate raw diet. Our dogs are glowingly healthy. Their coat colors are more vibrant, their teeth are sparkling white and their bodies are in excellent condition. There are no problems with allergies, bad breath, dental disease, or "doggie odor". The raw diet, along with a minimal vaccination protocol, has resulted in stronger immune systems and thus, fewer visits to our vet.
